      Hear For You Rock My World NSW 2019 Workshop #4 - Film-making! (APRIL & MAY)

      The 2019 Rock My World Film-making Workshop is here!! We have created two weekends for this workshop - one weekend in April and one in May! The April Workshop is about STORY DEVELOPMENT, SCRIPT WRITING AND FILMING. In May, it's all about EDITING AND PRODUCTION. Our very own filmmaker, screenwriter, director and producer extraordinaire Pauline Findlay will be back to help guide you through this process and awaken your imaginations in the process. Your film will be automatically entered into the Hear For You Film Festival 2019 and judged in 3 categories of Best Director, Best Screenplay (Story) and Best Film! All shortlisted films will be shown on the big screen at the Golden Age Cinemas in Surry Hills in August in our very own private RED CARPET PREMIERE! Are you the next JJ Abrams, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas or Sofia Coppola??? Only one way to find out. And that's to enrol now!!  Please read the below information on what to bring: Mobile phone/iPad Draft storyline of your film Any props you need for your film FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? If you're in high school and deaf/hearing impaired or hard of hearing, then this is for you!  Can I use my current NDIS funding to cover Hear For You? Yes this is possible. During registration for the NDIS ticket, please fill out the required information so we know if you are: NDIA Managed i.e. they pay all providers on your behalf Self-Managed i.e. the NDIA will give you the funds so you can pay your providers directly Plan-Managed i.e. the NDIA will give you funding in order to pay for a Plan Manager who will pay your providers on your behalf You will need to give us your NDIS number and the number of hours or funding amount that you have secured with your NDIA planner. Which Support Clusters do I use or apply for to cover Hear For You events? There are two Support Clusters to use: Support Cluster No.9 "Increased Social and Community Participation" Support Item: Life transition planning including mentoring, peer support and individual skill development. Support Item Ref No. 09_006_0106_6_3 Description: Establishing volunteer assistance within the participant’s home or community to develop skills. For instance, assistance in attending appointments, shopping, bill paying, taking part in social activities and maintaining contact with others. If Support Cluster No.9 is unavailable, Support Cluster No.15 can be used: Support Cluster No. 15 "Improved daily living skills" Support Item: Assistance with decision making, daily planning, budgeting Support Item Ref No. 15_035_0106_1_3 Description: Provision of time limited support to assist a person to develop and maintain daily budget, including assisting in planning purchases. How many NDIS hours are actually needed for this event? 14 NDIS hours are required for EACH weekend workshop so if you are attending both April and May, 28 hours are required. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? By car There is free parking down on Level B2 of the Hub.    By public transport Plan your trip here. You can take a bus to Macquarie Centre or Macquarie University Station and simply walk over to the Hub. How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
